You sould try first, but I wouldn't bother.

I always adjust my boom longer to fit the maximal outhaul, in order to do be able to change the setting easily if need be. I have Ezzy's and they don't ...

It may be easier to tack instead. Bring the sail back, the nose will turn upwind and tack as usual.
