I also have sailed from that site about 18 years ago, and even farther
off topic, I also lost a wedding band to windsurfing, though not in Torbole.

Apparently Windsurfing is a jealous mistress as ...

I'm not disagreeing, a tight turn will keep you from bouncing over chop,
and in really powered up conditions I'm wanting a tight jibe for sure,
but you can also use the terrain for fun during a ji ...

I think folks who live in areas of high quality wind really don't understand a lot of what the other >90% deal with..

On this we can agree, my comment about 9.5 was due to sailing 25 years

I disagree, cams are a complete annoyance, unless you need to plane through big holes, sail really close to weather, or for VMG. I gave up my cams years ago and I've never looked back. If you want ...

The last Big sail I bought was a 9.5 Retro, and it's a great match with my
100% SDM Powerex 490, my Gulftech carbon race boom, my Angulo Sumo
155, a huge(65 cm I think) Sweeper fin, and a 12MPH day ...

Your best bet with that board is to pair up the 48CM fin with the 7.5, and take your 180 lb body out in about 16MPH winds. The 4.5 and 4.7 sails
are a poor match for that board in any conditions exc ...

I'm going to have to disagree here. If you're on the verge of planning,
but just seem to be in a perpetual state of power slog no matter how much
pumping you do, a bigger fin will get you onto a p ...

Your sail is also producing "lift" that is (mostly) not vertical. That's what
sucks you along.

Lots of confusion with the term "lift", to the layman, lift mea ...

Yep that's it exactly, followed by how much wind you can sail competently, followed by terrain. Years have little to do with competence. But in a strict
definition of experience, I guess 30 years of ...
