Did they close off the kiting section as well?

DC No , you can still kite down by the jetty. A very long walk, and if it's a nice beach day, parking would be an issue

Flip a coin, then go with it's outcome. No regrets this way, blame the coin, it decided, not you. As others have stated, predicting wind that far out , is 50/50 at best.

I would agree stick with one brand. I stuck with Neil Pryde, until they seemed to price themselves out of the market. Years ago switched to Naish sessions, very light weight, and maneuverable. Force 4 ...

Try Ventusky.com use satellite view. Seems to be the best thing I have found, so far. I sail on the east coast, Cape Cod.

Ventusky.com gives a pretty good coverage. I use the satellite view to show cloud cover. Satellite view shows better than the cloud cover view. Also I live on the east coast, sail on Cape Cod.
