you will have to buy new mast bases to work on the RDMs

they sink faster, they hurt more when they hit you in the head, less curve pointer, I dont agree that they are lighte ...

All the above suggestions are helpful, but for the beginning waterstarter it is important to realize that the nose of the board should be slightly upwind while you put the mast on the board by sinking ...
