Oli definitely has the 116. It's probably one of the most used though...
The JP or Tabou are great freewaves too. I really liked the JP in that size. |

I agree that a large board can make it harder to step on as the tail won't sink much if at all so the step is higher. |

Because of my light wind venues, I learned on 9.2, I didn't find it anymore challenging than other sizes. A bigger sail being more stable, it helped me. If rig maneuvering is the issue, one can still ... |

As a 150-170 lb person, I never needed to go above 9.2 on my Formula board. 8.7 was probably all I needed (8-13 knots).

I learned by beach starting lower and lower in the water. Then figured it out in the middle of the lake.
Optimal conditions are smooth winds, medium wind speed for the sail size, and flat water.
