Prolly gonna take a road trip on Friday and Saturday to sail at Hefner, wondering if the place to launch is still the same as it was 20 years ago. Like to meet up with some OKC sailors.

I whole heartedly disagree as I venture would every shaper, fin designer and naval architect.

Yeah....whatever. Viscous forces govern and fin lift opposing side slip:I don't buy it.

I often read about fins providing lift. On an airplane; the vertical tail doesn't provide lift; so how does the vertical fin make lift?

Make a trip to Corpus Christi, Hatteras, or (if you have more $$$) Bonaire. Perfect conditions in all those places.
