Had a crappy self rescue situation off of Angel Island. Lost my Black/Blue Aluminum Chinook Boom. Ebb was cranking, who knows where it ended up, but if someone finds it let me know. |

As a long time windsurfer, and not amazing kiter, I'd offer that epic kiting conditions are not the same as epic windsurfing conditions, for me at least. On a kite, flat water and 5.0-ish conditions ... |

As a windsurfer since 1979 and kiter since 1999, I have to ask, why does it matter if/that kitesurfing is more dangerous than kiting? This is a very odd discussion.

Years and years ago, I can't even remember how many years ago, I nailed an amazing post-frontal side off day at OB. Perfectly sunny, head high waves, it was the only side off day I've ever had there. |
