Sunday wind- right now IWindsurf says the further north you go, the better the chances. If it looks like it might be windy I'm heading north- Plum Island, Hampton Beach, Long Sands Maine?

Any northern sailors want to recommend a good spot for S or SE wind with waves? Anyone else going if it looks windy?

Good to hear from you Igor! At least there are 2 of us crazy enough to think about sailing today.

Right now, I'm fantasizing about late in the day at the southern tip of Plum Island, a sunset session. I've sailed at 2 other spots on Plum Island but never at the south tip. I've heard it can be good for waves, although they may be tiny today. I think you can launch at the mouth of the river, faces S, or on the outside, faces E. Tide is going in until sunset making it safe. It's thru the Parker River Refuge to the end at Sandy Point State Reservation. I have to check to make sure it isn't closed, due to Piping Plovers.

I'm going to check the wind around 12:00, then maybe again later, like 3:00 or 3:30, if it isn't happening earlier. I'll post then.

It looks like it isn't happening, no surprise. I'm heading to Naragansett Beach for some surfing.
