How's the wind at the Hatch and Event in late August - early September? |

Depends.
But why limit yourself to those sites? One HR local sailed sinkers in west winds 26 days one Sept, only a handful in other Septembers. Serious east winds can begin by then, for which further west works well, but some years get scarce east winds. It can blow like crazy out east with nada in the corridor. And Clatskenie can absolutely rip for 7-10 days in a row while the corridor just sits there. OTOH, I've seen the corridor dead for 12 straight days in July ... twice ... in the SAME July.
The only weather guarantee for Sept is great weather. Wind is another story.
