If there was a rule that we had to sail without losing control and crashing, I'd have given up WSing the year I started. I've crashed frigging dirt bikes many thousands of times, and that was on dirt ... and rocks ... and snow ... and ice ... and into trees ... where there's a price to be paid; it would bore me to death otherwise. What fun's a sport that doesn't involve crashing? Maybe that's the answer to the age-old question, "Is [whatever] a sport"? Answer: "Only if it involve crashing".
