Yes, it doesn't matter what you call the high, yesterday's winds gave us a rush on the Cape. However, I was slightly underpowered reaching in the straps on both tacks with my 9.6 until the winds picked up in the middle of the afternoon. Unfortunately, though, I had aggravated a pulled muscle incurred a couple of weeks ago before I went on the water. It was rather painful to gybe so I was just blasting shore to shore. How boring. |

Brucie, ya gotta learn to leave your fin alone. You've been pullin' that muscle too much. |

Andy has a few pics up at LostinHatteras, however, I have been lame with the camera. The OBX Atlantic has been basically flat over the course of this BH, though hopefully over the next two days some wrap wind swell will begin to hit the east facing beaches?!
Wind velocity though has been great! Juiced 4.7m looplicious action soundside for me today at Windmill Point in Nags Head. The Avon crew caught it south of Lifeguard beach in Buxton where there were some ocean side loop bumps!
All in all, its simply going to continue...! Through Sunday, strong SW every afternoon! Hell, its blowing SW 30+ right now in Waves as I type this update!!

Anyone check the Hatteras forecast for tomorrow aka Friday?! WOW!!
...and who said a strong Bermuda High does not set us into SW high wind nirvana for days on end??!!
I am looking "FWD" to a looplicious Friday/tomorrow afternoon sesh with my favorite sail size...the trusty 4.7m!!
Now the million dollar question... Beyond the local/regular Hatteras crew who will be out catching it, any visitors planning to be here Friday and though the weekend on the OBX?! |

How convenient Not-So-Swift one! It does matter what you call it since you proclaimed that the Bermuda High gives you nothing more than bloating and not a forecast for wind. So, wrong you are!!! Not the first time, of course.
Keep blasting without jibing, big guy. No pain no gain.
BTW, how did you like today's wind? Gusts past 40 just across the Sound! |
