I hear ya and I'm look'n also - waist to chest high would suit me just fine.
Robert August and I have taken a new turn recently. From kid SUP'n at the lake to getting my daughter to stand up and now catching waves on her own, to getting a posse of 3 nieghborhood 14 yearolds all surfing together. It's not really a "big brother" kind of thing, but it is cool to see how much energy they put into it. On Sunday one of them stayed at it for 2 hours with a wet tee shirt that went from his back to his head and then back on the back. After that, a solid half hour + of skim boarding. I was cold just watching him!!
Before I left, we talked about surfing the bowl. They said it's where the experts go. As I looked them in the eye and asked them if they had they tools to paddle out, I realized they are all bigger than me.
Short on gear and opportunities but long on heart. Today I traded on and off for about an hour. Nothing worth writting home about but fun just the same.
This week's crappy conditions couldn't have come at a better time - off to PA tomorrow.

Would you two please consider using the Private Message feature for your impertinent dialogues about surfing? |

In case you haven't noticed there has been no wind for most of the summer.
At this point whether it's surfing or kiting or SUP'ing, it's all about getting on the water.
I'd like to see more of the windsurfing crowd which I feel I come from to see what's out there.
I've considered your request, but will still give info for anyone who is interested in reading.

Brucie, when it comes to "impertinent dialogues," you take top prize. Aren't you the clown that wants to achieve the highest number of hits on your totally meaningless thread? |

Just so we are clear:
Some people actually windsurf in waves.
Some people actually windsurf in storm winds.
But hey Bruce, you dit, thanks for jumping on and killing another thread.
You are the king of stoke-snuffing, and I now am going to invoke "Plan B" _________________ https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=zw0MgkO7VXw |
