I have a place on Lake Damariscotta www.sunsetlodge.org which is a 11 miles by 1.5 mile lake. Nice deep water, warm in the summer. Though the wind isn't consistently blowing I get a few really good days in when we go for a few weeks each summer. With the fresh water less botany than the salt here, in the San Francisco Bay, I use a Rocket 135 with a 7.2 sail most of the time. That board picks up and goes! There are a couple of other windsurfers I see on the lake but as of now no kite surfers. No place to rent near by that I know of. |
