Wider, pancake thin boards plane off early and handle chop well. They do not like being jumped way high and landed flat. Single divinicyl (PVC foam) ones for sure snap with high jumps and careless landings. Double PCV foam ones take more abuse. Jumping for a more flat trajectory helps lots too.

This is what I was riding just over a week ago in Los Barriles. 2010 JP Twinzer wave 92 with a The Fly 4.8m sail. Nice combo. But my favorite board was the 2010 75l JP single fin wave. Fast and slashy.

I think you could sail a piece of driftwood better than I could sail any of these.
Every time I visit my parents in chatham I'm jealous of your abilities and the great sailing spots out there.
