For all those wondering when spring will start, quit your jobs because spring has sprung. See you at the beach today!!!

....if you don't mind a surprising amount of cold rain and even hail on top of your chocolate milk shake. Looks like February is back Evil or Very Mad

C street is 31 with gusts to over 40 with double overhead surf. It must be spring in So. Cal.

C-St was epic today. Started fine with a 4.7m. Got windy so went to 4.2m but by 4 it was 3.5m wind and I had to give up. Super steep short period wind swell outside. Some big mackers could be had if you could pick them out of the mess. It was so windy when we quit that I saw a guy do a jump going out but he got blown back in front of the wave he jumped!

I think C street has been more dramatic than county this spring. Although it was good at county today. I got rejected at full speed by a logo high wave and did the full rinse and spin cycle. Anyone else out today?

You probably would have been comfortable on your 4.7 at county today.

Mike is right, C Street literally ripped. I got used up in less than 30 minutes, and realized that I was way overpowered on a 4.2 and my smallest board. It was humbling, but still sweet. The strongest consistent wind I've ever seen at C Street, and that's probably 20 years.

thank god for Candlestick and Berkeley and jobs you can leave for a session at the drop of a hat. if you're willing to suffer, I think Berk has had more plane-able windows of opportunity than most sites this season.
