I've been told I drive 10 mph faster when my boards are on my roof and the wind is blowing.
35 minutes from Tomales Bay, where I enjoy an beautiful 10 minute cruise up the east side of the bay, arriving at Grassy Pt. in 45 minutes or less, depending on whether I want to risk a ticket in Marshall. Actually, I go by Nicasio/Nicasio Reservior, avoiding Sam Taylor, Olema and Pt. Reyes Station. Definitely under 45 tho. Unless I stop to pick up after-session oysters. Ever been there for that? Nothing better than winding down from a 3.5 session with beer and Oysters, watching the wind on the water.

Mr. Jse I don't know you, nor do I know your sailing venues, but you
description of oysters and beer after 3.5 has filled my brain with
endorphines. As I sit here in a Morphine like trance, I can only
hope that we meet some day on the water or after. Ever get up to Hood River?

Last time I was there was two years ago, and after the trip when I parked my car in the driveway, I wanted to ditch my family and turn around and go right back. Um... Temporarily that is... Sadly, I haven't returned. But I've been talking to Boggsman about a trip this summer.

Steve if you get up to H/R this summer give me a shout. This will be my last summer as a "visitor" (but staying in my own home). I'll be there from about July 10th till August 10th.

Im In. July, load the rig and go. last July was about as much fun as i can handle. All day at hatch, drink a few hundred beers, pass out, rinse repeat for a week. |
