how the hell do you break those things? Adventure sports miami probally carries them, they have a good inventory of spare parts for neilpryde sails. ive gotton, battens, cams and other small parts. Another good reason to support your local shop if ones near bye, thats the kind of thing they might just give you if your a loyal customer. Id guess id call it a head insert, or mast tip insert for your sail. not really sure

If Sailworks doesn't have them, try Northwave Sails at northwavesails.com. Their older sails used to use that very same type of sail mast cap. I'd give them a call and I'm sure they could send you a couple.

Good Luck,
Rob

But really.....how did you break that? Only way i could figure is if you didn't inset it into the mast tip all the way

I break alot of stuff, but that's a first

the amount of downhaul you put on the sail should never break this piece. either they were defective or you're using the wrong piece for your mast? My 2009 Hellcat came with two of them for different mast tip diameter, one for NP masts and one for other masts...

However the NP Spare Parts catalog (http://www.neilpryde.com/download/pdf/en/rigs09/09_sails_spare%20parts_all.pdf) only refers to "Mast Plug conical - BP830". Maybe they come as a set of two.

Any NP retailer should be able to help you.

I broke another one today.... same sail, the northwave 4.7 snaps them on the neil pryde 400 mast i have...

i got a closer look at it today, and when the sail plug was in the top of the mast i think its 'shaft' was a little too long, like you guys are saying its not seating all the way in on the the mast, its prob 1/4 or 1/8 of an inch too high...
