Sat morning is the spring cleanup for the Hatchery. There will be some parking upgrades to the Federally fish hatchery as well as road paving this summer. WA state parks is going to be working on paving and parking improvements on their end [ your end , our end] of the Hatchery. We should benefit in the long run, but there will be closures through-out the early part of the summer. Too bad it couldn't have been April and May , instead of June and July. Perhaps the I-windsurf folks and CGWA could post the closures daily. I read an article about it in the Enterprise that might give the days . Tomorrow at the cleanup, the parks people can answer questions , too.

Hi-

The Hatchery clean up that was scheduled for 6/5 has been cancelled by CGWA and Washington State Parks for the spring because of the construction; there will be a fall clean up at the end of the season.

The Hatchery is CLOSED today (Friday) and Monday for construction, but will be open over the weekend. Project information and construction schedule is available here.

To the credit of the folks at the Fish and Wildlife Service, they had a very small window during which any work would be allowed due to the fish schedule, and they've worked with CGWA and the State Parks folks to get it done as early in the summer as possible, with zero weekend closures.

Have a good weekend (probably out east!)!
