I will be down near Pismo Beach this weekend and wondering if anyone has advice for sailing down that way. I will have all day open on Saturday so am willing to drive if there will be wind somewhere. Any wind at any of the local spots this weekend? Would love to connect if there is some breeze.

I'll be sailing 3000 miles to your right, and probably in warmer water.

Thanks Dangler. I will give them a call tomorrow. Sailed 6 straight days last since last week when I talked to you. Gotta stay on this roll while it last! Hope you get good winds!

Pismo is not so good for windsurfing, the wind, if there will be any, is mostly onshore, okay for kiting, but sucks for windsurfing.

There is always Lopez Lake, if it's foggy on the coast and hot inland, the lake will be blowing.

Your best bet would be to drive about 50 mi. north to Arroro Laguna, might not happen on Saturday, but Sunday looks promising.

Forecast does look good for Sunday/Monday with potential south swell. Are there any other south swell options near Arroyo? The sensor is down. If any of you makes it yp there this weekend, do you mind posting conditions?

I've always wanted to sail there on a south...Is it down the line with multiple turns or closeout?

It's pretty much of a close out, with occasional lefts, but if you sail down to Castles, the break just south of the southern rock outcropping, there are great rights, big rights, that's when Castles shows it's stuff, during a good south swell.
Here's a pic of KP (Kevin Prichard) at Castles during a good south swell in the fall, several years ago. He was ripping as were the waves.

Probably should have posted this last night also.
Here's what Arroyo looks like during a big south swell.
