It's mounted on top of the big "66" tripod.
Will provide a much better reading than the old sensor.
Way to go iW for adding three new sensors so far this season!

PS: You'll have to add this to your iW settings: Rooster Rock Light66

So when are we going to see a sensor at Mosier? Seems to be a more popular place than Rooster Rock.

Rooster sensor is visible on top.

Moiser sensor would be nice (although Rooster is a lot busier Oct-Mar).

Did anyone get out at Rooster today?
The new sensor showed gusts to 30, but the Rooster Cam didn't look quite that windy. Maybe it was the clouds? I wonder how accurate the new sensor is?

I sailed Rooster on Saturday from 10am to 2pm on a 6.0 and 90 liter board. Occasional the 6.0 would max out on a 25mph gust but there were a lot of lulls also. The wind was definitly not averaging 22-25. Long story short the new sensor reads high.

I was there from 12pm to 2pm on 5.7m/107L. Was pretty comfortable on 5.7m - except for a few gusts. Sensor was reading 26MPH avg at 12PM, and 20MPH at 2PM. I couldn't really plane anymore at 2PM. So definitely reading on the high side.

Let's keep comparing notes so we can get a good calibration factor established for this sensor.

I generally relate everything back to the Swell City sensor while sailing at the Hatchery. For example to be planing on my 5.7m/107L:
- Hatchery (Swell sensor, west wind) >= 15 MPH
- Stevenson (west wind) >= 17 MPH (So I call this sensor "+2")
- Stevenson (east wind) >= 19 MPH (For east winds it's "+4")
- Rooster (east wind, new sensor) >= 20 MPH (maybe it's "+5")
