We are going to go to barbados first week of April? Anyone been there? Any advice? We are hoping to be renting gear from Brian Telma. What would be a good place to stay?
Anything would be appreciated!

Brian Talma owns a vacation/windsurfing hotel in Barbados. Brian is one of the coolest, most interesting people you'll ever meet. I'd stay there, no question. .....action! _________________ Kansas City |

Sasha there is a hotel right at Silver Sands (the wave launch)...that's where I'd stay...walk from the session to your room!
The other windsurfing spot in Barbados (Oistins) is nothing special. My wife and I sailed there in 1997...it was okay but uninteresting, with disorganized chop but nothing to get decent air off of. _________________ Michael

Correction: Brian just has a surf shop, no hotel. My mistake. _________________ Kansas City |

Do you remember the name of the place? I ended up reserving at Inchscape. But there were other options. Ocean Apartments was the other option we were trying to decide on.
We are renting with Brian, so hopefully he has some good gear! and that the wind will cooperate!
Thanks!

Sorry, it was 1997. What I remember is standing on the beach in front of it, and being told the wavesailing area was right there (it was windless and waveless that day.) _________________ Michael

Round Rock Apartments is right next to the windsurfing beach, very short walk to the beach. |
