You guys are kidding, right? The baseless personal attacks seen every day here:
• Would get people fired from many companies.
• Could get them court martialed in the military, or even forced out.
• Are defined in Washington state law as “unlawful harassment”.
• Are actionable as libel in most states.
• Could easily get the poster and iW successfully sued by any target with verifiable financial loss due to defamation.
• Would get their sources banned from many homes.
• Would be bleeped by any moderator worthy of the name.
• Would -- justifiably, IMO -- elicit a body slam if spoken face to face, which is, of course unlikely from people who hide behind screen nyms.
• Violate the Ninth Commandment, the Bible, the Qoran, the Talmud, the Boy Scouts oath, and probably the charters of the Crips, the Bloods, and MS-13.

The only group I can think of which openly and institutionally embraces them as an acceptable tactic is the far Left political wing
(see http://tinyurl.com/7aw48gf ), including the incumbent President of the United States.

Engaging in or approving such behavior is a disgusting and immoral breach of etiquette, and trolling (posting statements known to be false, with intent to elicit strife) isn’t far behind. (Preemptively, anyone who says without proof that I engage in either is guilty of the former or both).
