Hi iWindsurf guys:
It's nice that you added a couple of sensors in the SF bay, but we really need the Golden Gate Bridge sensor in order to figure out what the wind is doing. We use the Anita Rock sensor along with the Golden Gate Bridge and Angel Island to understand how windy it is across the entire area, which is super important because of our strong currents and major wind changes across the bay.
The Pt. Diablo sensor seems pretty useless, as the wind coming into the bay doesn't register. It's too far north and in an area that is blocked from the wind. I don't think the GG bridge sensor is one of your sensors, but do you still have access to it? Please, can you put it back on the map?
I sent a couple of messages over the past few weeks but haven't had a reply. I am wondering if other SF sailors have the same issue or if there is another way to get the GG Bridge wind.
Thanks, Dianne

Add 1 more to the list.
Apparently we got 2 more sensors courtesy of the America's Cup

FYI- GG sensor still resides in the "south bay" region and you can click it from both regions by selecting it on the drop down on the left side. It was only removed from the map on the north bay region.
Did you know that you can view all of these spots plus thousands more on WindAlert.com? Instead of relying on cluttered and cramped maps like on iWindsurf, you can just zoom into the areas of interest on WindAlert to see all the data. OR just make your own profile of the favorite sites, maps, graphs, forecasts, etc and you'll never miss anything again. Best part: Your same login that you use on iWindsurf will work on WindAlert. Just a suggestion

Mattman,
Thank you for two great tips. The south bay map includes GG Bridge, and although I don't see the bridge on WindAlert.com, it seems like a really cool site.
Cheers!

Dianne,
Just to wrap this up... Your inquiry actually made us look at the collection scripts for that station and... Argh! the source pages had changed and they were down for the last few weeks. WindAlert is smart enough to drop stations from the search results that have been down a long time which is why you didn't see it there. All fixed now on both sites.
Now that it's back up the station is available:
http://www.windalert.com/spot/513
I encourage you to look through WindAlert as there are many more stations in your area that we simply can't add to iWindsurf. And.. the same log in will work on WindAlert as it does on iWindsurf including WindAlert on the web, iPhone, and Android.
Cheers,
Matt
