Who ya gonna believe ... a State Welfare Agency publicly fessing up to its own government mess, or an anonymous internet wanker? |
Gary Alexander, head of PA dept. of Welfare, does have some credibility problems. Apparently, in his last gig as head of the Department of Human Services he published a report stating that a Medicare Waiver program he instituted had saved RI $110 million. Turns out the savings were more on the order of $23 million.
Interestingly enough, the report was published on the website of the Galen Institute, an anti-Obamacare website funded in large part by Big Pharma. Although the each page of the report displayed the seal of the State of Rhode Island, it was not an official report released through by RI DHS.
Also, shortly after Alexander took his PA post, he formed a RI company called Smart Alex Consulting LLC. When called on this apparent conflict of interest in PA, he said that it wasn't really a consulting firm, but a property investment company, and that he had checked with the PA public ethics body to see if there was any conflict, and they had said it was OK. Interestingly enough, his letter to them was dated one month before they received it.
So am I going to take everything Gary Alexander says as gospel? Maybe not so much.

Ah, yes: ignore the message, attack the messenger. I'm not impressed until the message is disproved, especially since this message is simply a new example of a long and often repeated analysis. The source article breaks down the MANY entitlement programs behind this story into dollar amounts, and we saw similar figures here based on other cases 2-3 years ago.
Rigitrite's AMT deflection, if applicable, simply highlights that program's obsolescence; it was designed to prevent the superwealthy from sheltering income, not to encourage peons to work for minimum wages. |

Did iso write these posts or his wife?
They make sense whether they are true or not, and don't include any nasty remarks. The post still says that a large secret group supports all the analysis so that imaginary support group is still there, but where is the offensive material that makes him lose all respect? |

You know keycocker, it was only yesterday that isobars called rigitrite an anonymous internet wanker.
We can always depend on isobars to turn nasty and rude. It just depends on his mood. |
