Tabou rocket 115 ltd.. Fast, smooth ride and gets going in very little wind. Have friends with the RRD. They all like them. That said, I can get going in the same wind have better top end and my board takes a lot less room in the truck.

Will try and get a ride in OBX

Definitely a good idea. OBX conditions seem to fit these boards like a glove. I loved the Firemove 110 when I sailed it there at the last Windsurfing Magazine board test, and so did a lot of other testers.

At other spots with different conditions, they may not quite as convincing. I sailed the RRD Firemove and the Firestorm in Corpus, and liked the Firestorm better there - the same fantastic jibes, but better control at high speed. In Bonaire, I heard from several sailors that they did not like the Firemove 120 - but possibly because you can't sail it with a big enough fin there.

Soo, nobody on this forum has even tried the Gecko ot the Thunder?! That's a shame!Sad Looks like RRD own the market for those boards /in the USA at least/. Can't say they don't deserve it. Looking forward for a magazine comparisson.
I think those boards may need some better marketing, they maybe not well understood yet. And the choice is more difficult then before with all the Free...lines. But that's a good thing after all!

I kinda think its a niche board, so not for everyone.

Hard to figure out what the buying public wants in a new board..
but I do agree some promoting could do wonders.

I am really curious what percentage of sales on windsurfing boards is USA VS say, UK, Germany,France..........

maybe 3 phase will have a answer/guesstimate

I like they way the PR people reinvent the wheel

This is an all-new, thrilling and exciting concept of extra wide, short and thin freeride boards within the JP line. It features so far unseen early planing
