Excellent Sunset session to work on Carving Gybes with wind and current in opposite directions. Plenty of practice runs with a camera showed I stop carving the board when switch my feet. The board goes flat and my exit sucks. Also the head cam angle showed me that I'm not looking into the turn. Video doesn't lie! I have more things to practice for next time.

Sunny light wind session. It was nice to take the day off and sail in the middle of the day like a spring break tourist.

I made it down south for some fin shopping and picked up a 44cm Unifiber Freeride Fin. This will make light wind sailing a little easier than with the 32/36cm fins I've been using. Also it will let me get in those outboard straps for some blasting, too.

I've been to Ft Pierce many times to SUP and SUP surf but this would be my first time sailing there. Wind was out of the south and we launched north of the Jetty in the Wind powered area.(north of marker 4 only).

I rigged a 6.0m sail but left the 144L Carve with the Freeride/Slalom settings thinking there would be enough wind. Outboard straps and 44cm fin didn't work well at all once on the wave. Tide was low and I was rubbing the fin at the end of the wave. I made changes to the set up and got some fun waves.

Very nice pictures wilanz. I gave up windsurfing ( after 25years) 3years ago, and turned to kite boarding, much easier for an aging body I love my newest passion, but still have windsurfing in my heart |

I keep hearing that. I'll try it someday. I make it out early morning or late evening and sometimes see the kites sitting on the beach. With a limited schedule, I gotta play regardless of wind conditions. I even bring a paddle just in case. |

I went to meet a couple of the locals and got some video of them.

I waited for the wind to pick up later in the afternoon and went to practice outboard straps on the big board and carving gybes. I was able to correct my last 2 issues, head position and feet switch. Now I gotta get brave and lean forward instead of pulling back on the sail.
Legs were pretty worn out after practicing and i switched to the 111L for some fun blasting in the choppier areas.

I made it further south this past weekend and the wind was light enough to play with the Quadcopter. This toy is going to be fun for some aerial video this summer.

Perfectly cross shore winds are hard to pass up! Had to get out for a sunset session to enjoy even if the wind was dropping as I rigged. Still had a great time!
