I saw one at the Hatchery last summer. It wasn't very big, about 3-4 feet, and also seemed to be on a mission heading east. |

I sailed at Rowena Sunday pm. Once while setting up for a water-start, I had a thought to look down and see if I had any company. A large shadow seemed to move by below me. I figured it was too large and dark to be a fish and passed it off as a shadow. If I had known about the sea lion possibility, I'm sure that I would have freaked out...not mentally prepared for that. Once a large fish jumped into my lap while I was waiting for the wind...luckily it didn't occur to me at the time that I might be saving him from a much larger predator Thanks for the heads up. |
