...proof of something being fishy with Him: you don't float a sinker in Beaufort 1 ("Light air, ripples without crests").

Here is one I used to use in high winds in the late 80's early 90's.
The Wind chaser Rio Ripper 7'8",
The mast track is up near the nose. It's for sale if anyone is interested.

This thread is really giving me a sti.fy! I thought I was the only guy out there who has never disposed of any old windsurfing gear. Maybe I'll post a shot of my first slalom board, a Bruce Jones double concave shaped for Reed Lockhart of Sannta Barbara Surf Sails...through the past darkly! Bull... Purveyor of Third Wind Sherman Oaks...Vintage W/S gear from a vintage windsurfer!

You should see under my house. Gray Ampros are collectible right? I know blue plastic fence fins are being snatched up by Saudi collectors. I've heard price is no object.

Rode a BSAMX-500 in the mid '70's in Novice class, AMA District 36.
But as Mike said, my lap times, and those of the experts, where usually faster on the 125's, even on sand tracks like Marysvilles E street and Riverfront Park. All the 125's I raced could top 60 mph in one city block in thed SunsetDistrict, from Rivera to Santiago. The modified ones could almost get to a full stop, from a full stop at the other end of 45th Ave. |
I rode the YZ125 because my lap times were faster than on a 250. OK, so I couldn't jump triples and I could watch my friends case their 250s.

Since we're talking about elite 80s gear, I still have a 14' Black Kilwell mast with a pair of bulletproof Windwing RAFs with the cut-out leech up top, a 44 and a 50 sq foot. You know they're true classics when sized and labeled using the American standard for measurement. Try to find that today!
