Assad was put in office by the generals who controlled his father. He is a weepy geek has never been known to make a decision.
The generals stay in back and kill each others people. Winning or losing is a relative matter among them.

The same generals who kept Egypt calm for decades. And the same generals who kept Libya under wraps. Now, the beehive has been struck. 60 Christian churches burned in Egypt. Thousands dead. The same in Syria. Why are the war drums still beating?

He is fresh from his triumph of providing us with the opinion of Germans.

I remember when he first began posting he told us that the world now hated Obama. That was based on an obscure editorial written by an Australian, or maybe just a vision he had.

Post that "fact " again if you want. It kinda feels good if the whole world finally joins you in hating someone doesn't it? Even if it is a delusion?

There, there. Feel better now?

It seems to be easier to attack Obama than to post a single legislative success of the Temper Tantrum party. What a commitment to democracy and good governance from the right! There there.

Talking of successes. From NPR October 21, 2011;

President Obama announced today that the war in Iraq was over. "After nearly nine years, the long war in Iraq will come to an end by the end of this year,"
This fulfilled his campaign promise to " responsibly leave Iraq to its people."

From today's WSJ;

BAGHDAD—A coordinated wave of bombings tore through Shiite Muslim areas in and around the Iraqi capital early Wednesday, part of a wave of bloodshed that killed at least 65 people and wounded many more, officials said. The blasts, which came in quick succession, mainly targeted residents out shopping and on their way to work. In addition to the bombings, the death toll included seven Shiite family members killed when gunmen raided their home and shot them as they slept.

The attacks are the latest in a relentless wave of killing that has left thousands dead since April, marking the country's worst spate of bloodshed since 2008. They raise fears that Iraq is hurtling back toward the brink of a civil war fueled by ethnic and sectarian differences. More than 500 people have been killed so far in August, according to an Associated Press count.

It seems likely that in the next day or so, we will attack Syria. That action will fulfill the President's "Red line" threat. Sadly, that's really what it is all about. People in power need to be careful what they say. Their egos won't allow them to admit they shouldn't have said it.

What we've done is unify Persia as a potential Shiite super power. Iraq is quickly coming under the influence of Iran.

Well Bard, I finally waded through the Savage Nation radio show that you highlighted. No doubt, Savage is a piece of work, in addition to being an egotistic jerk that can't help insulting folks.

Although I'm against American military intervention in Syria, I couldn't stomach Savage's arrogant ranting style. I don't know why you waste your time listening to him. Yet, given your dedication to Savage's point of view, it doesn't surprise me that you've regurgitated his thoughts in your latest post regarding Iran and their goal to reestablish a Persian Empire. Even though he didn't talk about it, one wonders about how he would advocate dealing with Iran now and down the line. Sooner or later, I have little doubt that he would advocate hitting the war button.

In the end though, I have to say that I got a laugh at Savage's stabs at Rush Limbaugh. Got to love a hate fest between conservative wingnuts.

After Bush's ego wars, the conservatives have changed their minds. Still waiting for something good about the Tea Party, especially from those who avow the benefits of newcomers in government. Still waiting...

Most of the Tea's are Mom and Pop's who love a simpler more peaceful America, and although they are poor (for the most part) and are hicks, they love America and understand that there can be no big government that is good government.

I see Windoggie is one of them..

Chandler, Savage is caustic. However, IMO he's the most intelligent talker today. I enjoy the historical perspective, healing children naturally, talk of ancient philosophy, art, food, the old testament, and anti war stance. He was against the Iraq war when that position was unpopular. Fights big Pharma. He hated Bush when it wasn't popular. He thinks of Snowden as a hero.

Certainly not your typical loony wing-nut. Just loony, and interesting to ponder the other side.
