I want to buy one of those Chatham signs

As long as they don't send any windsurfers/kiters off cape to this end of the universe

Maybe a custom one for my town?

2 weeks to go!!!! to sign up to compete, go to ECwinfest.org Or just show up on race day! It would help us out to know the rough number of competitors, so if you are planning on coming it would be great if you signed up. And don't wait for the forecast. Personally I had more fun racing in light wind than when it was windy at the events here on Long Island. I remember laughing nonstop the entire way around the course one race as we battled it out head to head moving at about 2 knots. Haha!

As for a swap, I'm not sure if the officials care about used stuff being sold at the beach or not. I know on Long Island, the park officials don't want any sales inside the park. Maybe Peter or Nina could answer that one.

See you at Kalmus!

While I don't think that we can have an "official" swap meet as part of the ECWF Cape Cod this year, the town really cannot keep windsurfers from selling things to one another at Kalmus. We should see a nice crowd, with almost 40 registrations already. Many local windsurfers that Nina and I talked to said they will show up, but have not registered.

That means the parking lot will probably be pretty full, and the beach and rigging area will be packed with gear. So if you have something you want to sell, putting a sign on your car or van may be a more sensible way than spreading the stuff out on the parking lot.

Those were heated battles! And the trash talk is incomparable. No wind minimums is the best!
