I had a multi sail. We wanted to sell them. The zippers froze after one season of storage and that was what put him out of business.

yvanboniec, I can't help but notice how much swing weight you've added with all that metal at the end of the boom. Also, I'm thinking that you need sit on the ground and use your foot gain enough purchase for proper outhaul. What do you do when the grass is wet?

That hole is going to cut through that outhaul line within one session.
Even if it doesn't, it will do so in two sessions ... or three. How long is the swim where you sail?
And it's two, not four, loops to get a 4:1 ratio (assuming no pulley drag).

"That hole is going to cut through that outhaul line within one session" This is the most sound comment so far.
I am going to insert a plastic tube to prevent this from happening. I will take it from the uphaul mechanism I am currently making.
I know you can't wait to see my self-made uphaul mechanism middle-east style but I have to test it over the weekend.
I also removed one shackle. It is a little bit less bullet-proof, but definitely lighter.
We are all set and ready to sail now.

You might have to drill bigger holes in the boom,, but you could put in some grommets or a protector for the line.

He has got to be pulling our leg. But I cannot believe anyone pulling our leg would have taken it this far.....

So is the double sided sticky tape used as a backup for the cleat? Just peel and stick the sail to it!
