Saturday (I had guest's from Texas in town so could not make the ECWF) my cousin was out on his boat ( I was on my boat giving harbor tour and missed it) about a 1/4 mile east of the stage harbor light directly in line between the stage harbor cut and new cut through into Atlantic, (about 50 yards south of the yellow "rock" buoy) and saw this shark ( 11am) . He was on a 19ft mako for some perspective so his guess was a 12-14 ft great white. 4-5 ft of water at the time. Skomal is looking at the evidence to confirm what kind of shark. The Rip Ryder boat launch captain said he had heard an unconfirmed rumor that was a shark in there earlier last week as well. So I guess this answers the question of whether or not they are going into the sound. the shark went under and he lost it we searched for a while but never saw it again.
