The America's cup races have been awesome and incredible to watch. If you haven't had a chance to go watch, you should. Oracle won today making it an 8-6. NZ needs one more...More wind tomorrow...Oracle in the middle of an epic comeback winning the last 4 races...Exciting stuff!!! |

They'd get killed. Those wings don't work straight downwind. Tho Ellison might be able to turn it into a big, twin-hull, foiling kiteboard. How about it, Larry? |

Slightly off-topic, but a week and a half ago my wife & I were stand-up paddling in San Pedro (prior to windsurfing in the afternoon) and paddled right up to Hydroptere, which was docked close to the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club. Awesome! _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

Yeah, we saw Hydrosphere docked at MarinaBayYachtClub a few months back, maybe 4. Pretty darn impressive, and looking like a real working boat. |

This year's winner averaged ~26kts on a foiling kiteboard; the AC72s are much faster than that downwind if they don't crash - the B2B was run in much more wind than the AC races. |

Not true. Look at the AC course and note how it's basically 2 upwind legs and 2 downwind legs. The boats crush downwind |
