The panel layout is wrong for a Hood River sail. I rode those years ago.
Rushwind has potential. (I think that's an aluminum mast in there too).

A quick Google search showed me that "Alvas" is a ballet school & supplier of DVDs, CDs, ballet barres, etc.. Why they stuck that on the sail we'll probably never know.

It looks very much by its reinforcement and panel layouts to be a single-cam Rushwind from the very late 1980s. It may also be a prototype single cam Gaastra for the 1989 or 1990 market. Or not.

Certainly the upper blue panel is a fake.

I've got the feeling that the sail might be a North because the panel layout seemed to be reminiscent of the Infinity line. But, it's the fact that Craig noticed an aluminum mast makes me think that it might be a North. I used to own a North flextop aluminum mast in the very late 80s or early 90s.

Scroll down to North Sails, and you'll find there's a similar design, but much older.

Adjustable leach line and webbing clew pull handle??? I had north sails from 88-98 and that one is not familiar. Too cheap looking?? Pre 88?

It says "ALVAS" on the leech with a ballerina figure on it. It's probably some off brand Costco or Best Buy deal.
