Wed = bad.....
Got to Berk at 3, rigged 7.5 and 71cm slalom, planed solidly ONE run to kitebeach, wind backs off, slog and plane up to the gap, then I give up and slog back down to the 3rd pier. Lovely. Shoulda been there at 2. |

That airplane/generator thingy is cool looking, but how practical is it? Seems like a bunch of those flying around would be a hazard, and how many would you need to power a decent amount of stuff? Lots of 'em flying around would be a nuisance to say the least. It might keep the drones away, though, when we finally have to start dealing with those.
FWIW, one also crashed at the coast a couple years back when they were testing it. Not sure what happened, but it got banged up pretty bad as I recall with that expensive carbon fiber and all. Cool concept though, gotta give 'em props. |
