No biggee....
Healing is part of living a good life.
If you never get injured, you never appreciate what you've created.
2 years is nothing. You are in shape, you sail well, and you'll be sailing long after the 2 years.

I knew better... I just thought the water was a mast length closer than it was, and couldn't correct in time, as someone else mentioned way above. I shouldda bailed, or just leaned back and landed on my armored back. It would have saved me a season and a half. Sad

I don't even want to think about those possibilities, in terms of threats from playtime.

In your original post you said it was a head high jump. Now it was over mast high?

There is a reason no one believes anything you say.

You're a most unsypathetic kind of person Mulekick 84.

I once hooked a foot long triangular shaped, ugly, and extremely irate looking fish while trailing a spinner behind my sea kayak. No idea what it was (except bad news), but in the aftermath I subsequently morphed it into a 30 foot (at least) sea monster, which snapped half a handful of my fingers off (I got better) before I escaped by some warp speed paddling.

I may have ever so slightly embellished things, but as the white coated man said when I was in the throes of my third nervous breakdown, 'Look, you will only get better by not bottling things up, and by telling everybody all about it.'

I never waste an opportunity to do so!

My surgeon does not suspect the radiologist embellished the X-ray and MRI scans. The close-up photographs taken during surgery not only confirm the radiologist's findings but clearly show additional damage, including older meniscus and articular cartilage injury.

My WSing mantra that, "It's only water" (and by extension, "It can't hurt ... much") was blown out of the water that day. Take heed.

For those interested, ACL rehab on the water is being considered and is the reason for the thread on "In search of bigger shortboard for lighter Gorge conditions".
