Visual report on arrival. Very very nice, all workmanship is Mercedes class.

1cm thick all the way. ASIFK NO insert, like rigid plastic to poke thru.
appear to be a material similar to neoprene, so wetsuit like. Glued/epoxied together with a ticker bottom, material appears the same, edges are all rounded where foot contact is possible.

the real test is on the water, and how long they last.

absolutely First Class, and cant see that any other strap would OFFER any more support , a kite board type may offer a feel that is different, being wider in the middle.

Damn that shipping was fast! My hats off to Juerg and Erika! Like I mentioned before, I haven't used them on water but when I found them to be of high quality when I inspected them. After I replace all my sails this year maybe I'll buy myself a set!
