This is the disconnect with the real world that I found conservatives have embraced since I moved overseas.
The conservative movement is dying of self inflicted wounds from Talk and Drudge. Few active conservatives left under age 60. As the movement ages, our voices grow fainter.
What will happen in twenty years when the average age of a Fox viewer is 86?
The young and educated get offended at gov. shutdowns, fake news, and the other proud accomplishments of the present GOP and Teas.
Conservatives have a lot of important points to make but spokesmen like Bachman, Savage, Cruz and Limbaugh turn away those with good sense. |

Are you sure it was the NYT that you saw those articles? This Times has critical articles about Obama crowding the front page with more than one headline some days. |
I'm not talking about recently, many on all sides of the media, are now realizing the flaw of supporting Obamacare the way they have been over the last 3'ish years, which helped a great deal in getting BHO get re-elected.
If the election were held today, I doubt if the results would be the same. |

You know NW30, if Romney was elected, it would be Senator Reid who would confound and bedevil Republican attempts to kill the ACA. Since 2011, I love the fact that Reid has been House Speaker Boehner's bane on any legislation coming out of the House. He ensures that irresponsible Republicans in the House will go nowhere with their bogus ideas.

Directly from Fox's talking points, it was the non-Republican media's fault that Obama was elected by a landslide, and re-elected by 5 million votes:

No, it was the fact that Republican vote suppression efforts, which targeted voters of color, didn't work. |

If the last election had gone the other way, we'd have Romneycare, just like Massachusetts.

I have been reading the NYT for years.
Your belief about the content of that paper is not consistent with the actual news I read there.
It is perfect match for the talking heads on Fox version of the Contents of the Times. They do not read it either.
This is the disconnect. Not actually checking the Times.
Not actually meeting a single lib who loves high taxes, wants to give welfare to laggards, wants the gov. to go deeper in debt....
The fact that these libs do not exist is no problem for the fake media and those who repeat it.
It does mean the end of the conservative movement to have folks so lost in the fakery constantly reassuring each other.
Note- Fake media equals drudge, Talk, and the guests on Fox not the real news.

ACA did not get many votes for Obama.
The GOP won that election for Obama, and would do so again today.
How popular was the latest big move by the GOP, the shutdown?
That will be a big vote getter for Dems in the the midterm, esp. if the Teas do it again like they plan.
Honestly NW do these people represent you and your conservative principles?
I have never gotten a yes answer from any conservative . |

KC...please dont confuse NW. If NW really read the NYT, as I do everyday, he would see how critical the paper has been on Obama. The NSA, the ACA website, the confusing agreement with Iran, Syria, immigration, and many other issues dogging his 2nd term. I doubt this would change an opinion that is set in granite. |
You guys are haters!! |

The youth vote put him in office, mathematically. Polls now show 47% of them would not only not vote for him again but want him removed from office now. |
