Much the same a little further North in Nags Head..........no hood or gloves. I'm guessing Jim won't be in a short sleeve suit on Wednesday!

Aahh, Hatteras. It doesn't sound too much warmer than Andy made it look (57 F), but it was probably harder than Andy makes it look!

yeah..reef break with a sandy bottom! we are always looking for a sand bar that is as far out as they get.. cleaner wind and better wave. sometimes they will be around for 6 months..other times its gone in a week. so we are always sailing in different spots..moving around to the best break for that day.

Super fun, easy peasy stuff!

We set up the soloshot and took some video, too. Check it out here:

http://vimeo.com/84829809

The footage with a level horizon and no up and down movement is soloshot, the rest is handheld. There's some "chatter" with the soloshot but I think weighing down the tripod will help smooth it out. We'll try that next time. Pretty cool stuff, though- we were all out sailing and still getting footage without anyone being stuck on shore! Cool
