Looks like there will be a lot of good events in my region this coming season. I am having trouble choosing which ones to attend. Since I sail by myself down here in rural Louisiana, events are a good way for me to learn from others. Here are the ones I am considering.
May 3 Seabrook Sailing Club in Houston windsurfing regatta
May 23? NTWR Texas State Championships
Feb Calema Mid Winters
March-May Calema Kona races and camps
Oct NTWR Pumpkin CUP
Oct 31 Kona Worlds
Wish I could go to all of them. |

Your list could be expanded to include:
1. Island Style Classic or Masters/Senior Council Windsurfing Regatta, Sarasota FL. The Feb 21-22 dates combine really well with the Calema Mid-winters.
2. the USWA Nationals, Worthington MN, June 10-15. Depending on where you live in TX the distance to Worthington might be somewhat less or more than going to the Calema Mid-winters in Merritt Island FL. Worthington also has the Unvarnished Music Festival going on during the weekend for free entertainment. No windsurfing event has a better audience.
3. Kona Worlds, Islamorada FL, Oct 31-Nov. 5. I had a great time at the 2013 Kona Worlds in Canada, this one should be as good or better.
Kona charters will be available at each of those events.
I have the luck/joy to be able to attend each of the events I mentioned. |

Darbonne, re-reading your post I realized you had already mentioned the Kona Worlds. |

Thanks for the additions. I really want to go to the Kona Worlds. Not sure if I can swing it. |

Here's another to add to your list.
Kashy Fins/Windsurfing Enthusiasts of Tidewater regatta is May 2 - 4 in Seaford VA. They're working hard to get a Kona fleet going with Kona charter gear being driven up from Florida for the event.
Go to www.sailwet.com for the NOR, charter info, lodging etc.
Great race site, friendly club, loads of fun.
