Found this issue of West Coast Windsurfing I'd saved. The two little girls are my daughter Kate on the right, now a mother of two, and her little friend Kelsey, now deep into med school. Seems like yesterday....picking blackberries, smashing pennies on the tracks, jumping from the rocks at Memaloose. All some of my daughters (and mine) fondest memories. Windsurfing and the life surrounding it has served us well.

Nice post. I still have my daughter home (teen) ... But I'm very cognizant of how quickly the time is ticking by.

Nice!
I can relate, my daughter is 13 and windsurfs and has turned on a couple of friends to the sport. It's especially satisfying when you see them become more and more self sufficient and confident with the sport.

I remember watching Casey Hauser standing on a windsurf board, age 6 or so, arms outstretched to catch the wind, blowing down the shore at Lake Isabella. Took him on his first parent-less windsurfari to the Delta & Bay Area, age 13. Now he's a pro.
