I know that most (some) of you guys do not wear women's wetsuits, but I'm hoping some women, or men with SO's will chime in. A sailorette in my area wants to buy a 5/4/3 wetsuit for the spring.
She saw a deal on this roxy suit:
http://www.roxy.com/syncro-543-steamer-gbs-wetsuit/rxyussa509wg#selectedColor=bkw&type=2

It's a surf suit as far as I can tell, so I'm not sure how tight this might fit on the forearms. Also, I have no knowledge of Roxy wetsuits, so not sure how warm/durable it is. The price seems too cheap.

Any experience with Roxy?

the same suit on other sites is more money, so price wise its a great deal.

What size is she..... photos ?

I would suppose its the Roxy name that sells these, only thing I see is it does have neoprene chest and back
and

HFT Heating System - hollow fiber technology in the chest panel for added warmth! The 4mm neoprene is used in the shoulders and upper legs while the 3mm neoprene is used in the lower arms to maximize flexibility. Truly the women's Roxy Syncro is a fantastic multi-sport wetsuit and an unbeatable price. Excellent for Surfing, diving, wakeboarding, and more!

SanFrancisco windsurfer of 31 years and surfer of 25 years.
In thicker wetsuits, there is less need for smooth outside, UNLESS she is going out in sub 45/45 temps.
NPryde offers a $350 5/4/3, one of the nicest.
Promtion also, for less.
I wear only surf suits, but in above 50/50 conditions. Surf suits always last longer. Yes, even than Promotions.
No need for loose arms, as any advance level windsurfer will tell you, you hook in.

This is a beginner sailorette. No hooking in yet.

I use the NP Serene 5/4/3. Best suit I've ever owned. The pullover neck gasket keeps away cold water neck flushes.
The Promotion arms are fuller -- too much water in for my taste. I gave that suit away.

Have had 2 g/f's who used the NP5-4-3's.
Neither came close to lasting one full season, maybe 100 days.
Meantime, my surfsuits always last longer, even though they are sub 150 dollar retail low end models.

I average 135 to 150 days per season and get 2 seasons out of the NP suit. Well worth the expense for me, but Brian is looking at a different suit at a much lower price point. If it offers similar warmth and durability it's a good deal.

Can't imagine a NP suit can last even 90 days, of the one's I"ve seen.
Any other people here use NP suits, and can comment on duribility?
Frazzles about the cuffs start at day 30. The tape comes off at least 2' by day 40. Tears everywhere by day 60. Delams around the neck seals and ankles by then.
The old NP rep, KevinKan, has sold me 2 of his old suits, less than one season old and for 25 bucks.
