Gosh Paul, I imagine that what they say about female skiiers in ski-towns (like Crested Butte, etc....) where it's 99% male ski bums, is true about female windsurfers in Hood River, which is 99.9% male windsurfing/kite bums:
She not "your girlfriend".....it's just "your turn". _________________ Kansas City |

I'm VERY easy going and down to Earth, you the same. If your available & interested let's meet for coffee or a drink. Thanks for reading the post and would love to hear from you...the sky is the limit! paul aka Skyhigh
p.s. If you'd like to see a pic, get back at me, Thanks |
I just moved to Boston, sorry )
But I have seen girls windsurfing in SF, its closer to Gorge. But I am sure there are girls at Gorge too.
And first you had to invite a girl to windsurf in a nice place, help her with tuning her rig, sit the harness and then you could invite her for coffee later! |

Good luck on your search. The question is, does a person's personality go with their sailing style! Can one have a successful relationship if you are opposites.
Northwave or Sailworks
Composite or Glass
Hatchery or Rowena
Rig and Go or Fine Tune and Change Fins
Dawn Patrol or Prime Time
Kodak Point or Jurassic Park
Seat Harness or Waist Harness
And by the way, I tune my own board and rig!
Good Luck on your search!

34 Years in the Gorge and Scored on a Wonderful Sailor!
You scored on a wonderful sailor? Please give us the details!
Was he/she wonderful as in charming, or super cute? Or neither but a wonderful sailor as in loops and vulcans?
Enquiring minds bored at work want to know...
My friends and I have a running debate on whether you should try to acquire a girlfriend who already sails well.
Opinions are mixed, but I've never seen it done. Any 7 who already sails well is at least a 10, and 10s don't date 7s.
You can teach windsurfing, but what are the chances that she's got the resume for it, likes it, and that you've got the chops to teach the world's hardest sport? Teaching windsurfing is waaaaaay harder than it looks. |

Anybody notice that SKYHIGH doesn't indicate which gender he's searching for in his original post? Maybe some of you guys should reply..... _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

I was going to but his inability to distinguish "your" and "you're" is a real turn off.

jota: I feel you're pain, but you'd better get used to it. In a world where everyone depends on there smartphone to correct they're errors so they don't look stupid, their's bound to be more & more of this kind of thing. _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

Ever notice that almost EVERY major network, big-budget TV show has no clue which personal objective pronoun is proper? The only show I've ever seen get it right was Rosanne Barr's sitcom. IT'S "HIM AND ME", YOU DOOFUSSES!
The vast majority of even high-class advertisements print "it's" when they mean "its".
Dumb shit's. |
