Anyone have a source for the Nautix Dyneema 4.4mm downhaul line? You know, the red and black stuff. I used to get it from Aerotech Sails, but they no longer handle it. I do have some Marlow Dyneema white downhaul line, but I miss the Nautix product. The Nautix holds in cleats a little better. Thanks in advance. |

I know Progressive Sports sells them by the row. Maybe they might sell em in pre cut lengths?
Are you using the older extensions which have wider cleats?

I'm using it on Streamlined Alum. RDM extensions. I'm an Aerotech dealer and the last time I tried to get the Nautix Dynemix from them, they told me they no longer carried the stuff and didn't know where I could source it. |

Bummer Hmm not sure where else than. Have you tried other spectra/dyneema ropes like formuline? Or do they slip for you?

On a whim, I just went to Sandy Point Progressive Sports (Aerotech) and they now have it listed, so I ordered a spool of it. I'm not sure why they now have it. I'll let you know how it turns out. |

Oops! Purchasing a spool of the Nautix product didn't work out. I got an email this morning from Steve Gottlieb of Aerotech Sails. He explained that the Nautix product they now carry is a polyester product and not the Dynemix product they used to carry. He explained...the new product is closer to the Pelican rope product Chinook uses. That wasn't what I am looking for so I cancelled the order.
So... I'm still trying to source the Nautix Dynemix 4mm downhaul line. I may have to contact a European vender. |

Marlow 3.8 mm Dyneema won't work? Its widely available in the States, from sailing supply shops or direct from Sailworks. _________________ Support Your Sport. Join US Windsurfing!

I have a spool of the ROBLINE Dyneema SuperDH line 4mm, but I much prefer the Nautix Dynemix 4mm product. My own experience is the Nautix Dynemix holds up about 3x the SuperDH line. YMMV. |

Why don't you contact Nautix and ask them for a distributor? _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie
