My mast foot for my ancient alpha 230a slid in the water. I desperately need a replacement piece so I can start sailing again. I'm willing to pay whatever for the part.

It's likely that you won't find the part. It's quite old and specific. If this happens, you could modify your board to accept a modern mast base with a part like this:

Such slots are now standard on boards and it will be easier for you to tap in the used market if your goal is to keep expenses low.

If I recall, the Alpha 230 used a different mast-foot... than what you guys are showing pics of.
So...
To "hiwasseesurfer"... I think I might have the Alpha mastfoot... in spare parts that I bought. (I used to have an Alpha Pro.)
