Recent windsurf UK article reviewed slalom sails and they felt the Point-7 sail was really powerful as a full/deep sail downwind/off the wind - I wonder if the higher twist is efficient for slalom racing going more downwind than for back and forth reaching where a little less twist would be more aerodynamically efficient in a pure sense.

The Defi was just won by another guy on one of these P7 sails Andra Cuchi.

I think that's actually pretty impressive.

Correction / edit another link says he was 2nd, and a guy on Neil Pryde/ JP Australia was first...

He is Andrea Cucchi, the owner of Point-7 sails. He did win the Defi 2014.

As far as twist/floppiness I am not sure you can judge by looking at photos, especially images of sailors who are not in asset. Compare the photos below, Anrdea Cucchi playing in the waves with a Isonic + AC-1 race sail (yikes! Shocked). There is clearly a lot of twist in the sail, but the "amount of floppiness" i shard to judge and depends of what the sail is doing.

Remind me not to buy a used slalom board from that guy (or Dale Cook) .

Yeah, the Defi site was confusing...

Definitely a lot of twist. With regard to loose leach...I mean part of this is going to be rider preference on the adj outhaul.
