After days of hot and well you could find it if you wanted to wind....the big show arrived today.....4.2 morning 3.2 afternoon. The east has always held a special place in my heart.

My first time in the water here many years ago was at Avery where the camping is free and the party's last all night ( and still do Smile
Some of the faces have changed but many have not, catching up with old friends it seems is a big part of the experience here in Mecca....

The east for me has always been worth the wait,it is a place where attitudes Mello, crowds thin, and swell is plentiful.... There is a beauty in its arid landscape that is undeniable. No fancy boutiques, No curbside dining, just you,
A river, the wind and good friends .....amazing that we think we need more sometimes.

As my time runs down as it always does and always too soon I will soon be faced with the reality of millions where we are the exception and not the rule, where a good day is judged by what did not happen instead of what did.
I leave this place never taking away only enjoying what it has given this boy from the bay.

Till next year.
Geo.

Geo. I feel that you will enjoy this one as well. Remember to be careful around those blackberry bushes by listening for a rattle.

Enjoy your travels.

POEM Sea Fever John Masefield

SEA FEVER

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a gray mist on the sea’s face, and a gray dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the seagulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gipsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted
knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

JOHN MASEFIELD (1878-1967)
