He accuses the Governor of Texas of being a drunk who sends armed men to shoot kids. He asserts that Michelle Bachmann is "leading the charge to kill a few kids" but then whines because his intelligence is rightly questioned for making these ridiculous accusations.

The same Michelle Bachmann who he states wants kids killed at he border, has five children of her own, has fostered 23 more and started a charter school for at-risk kids. Wanting needy children killed sounds her typical MO doesn't it? He says a child was shot at the Texas border......citation please.......and it could have been one of his kids. Please remind us how many offspring you have.

Michelle Bachmann has anything important to say?

mrgybe, nothing like honing in on extreme viewpoints to get your news and form your opinions, right? What does Sarah Palin have to say?

Not just a prick, a bully and a serial liar. But he espouses what he says are Catholic values--letting the Catholic bishops control women sexually, and spewing hatred. Not what my good Catholic mother called setting a good example, or turning away wrath with gentle words.

Now to his accusations, first about Perry:

Quote:
While it was widely reported last week that Texas Gov. Rick Perry had once again likened homosexuality to alcoholism, it went almost unnoticed in the national media that the Texas Republican Party platform had removed its prior call to bring back the Texas sodomy statute, which would have recriminalized homosexuality. And that may be a key fact in understanding what is going on in the minds of Texas GOP leaders, including Perry, who very well may take this message nationwide if he runs for the Republican nomination for the presidency yet again.

Speaking in San Francisco last week, Perry reiterated what he'd said in his 2008 book, On My Honor, stating, "I made the point of talking about alcoholism. I may have the genetic coding that I'm inclined to be an alcoholic, but I have the desire not to do that. And I look at the homosexual issue the same way." In the same week the Texas GOP platform appeared to be following Perry's line, treating homosexuality as a disease that, like alcoholism, needs treatment, getting a lot of media attention for outrageously supporting "ex-gay" therapy, which medical and psychological authorities have said not only doesn't work but could be psychologically damaging.

Of course, Hispanic voters are becoming the swing votes in Texas--something that Bush realized. The current crew of nativists, fearing the loss of their white privilege, are bound and determined to turn back new Hispanic immigrants at the point of a gun, and interfere with the ability of Hispanic citizens to vote. It is all about control. It is a rear-guard election, and I laugh at the stupidity of the rabid nativists in Texas who are fighting a losing battle over the long term.

Of course, the United States admits many (more than 1 million in 2012) legal immigrants each year, particularly relatives of US Citizens (more than 600,000 in 2012). So sorting through the 50,000 or so children to find how many have a legitimate claim to asylum, and how many might qualify as relatives, is not fundamentally going to change the character of immigration. Rather it is a proxy war, where Republicans invent motives to ascribe to "liberals" and Obama, in order to fire up their base. When questioned about his proposal to station 1,000 national guardsmen at the border, where children are essentially turning themselves in and asking for asylum, Perry switches the subject to criminals. Of course, facts are inconvenient, as Obama has deported more undocumented immigrants, by far, than Bush, and has targeted those with even minor criminal records.

The take home message is the failure of leadership in the House by orange-man (fake tan, not an ethnic slur.) Rather than seek a bi-partisan solution that could capture the middle ground of less-than crazy Republicans and moderate Democrats, and pass, they rely only on Republicans to push through something that will never get through the Senate to be vetoed by Obama. Yet folks like mrgybe claim that Obama can't lead.

Of course, KC is right that pandering to nativists just stirs them up:

Quote:
HOUSTON—Masked militias have arrived in South Texas with semi-automatic rifles and tactical gear, causing a stir not only in border communities, but also among state officials.

Demagogues like Perry fit neatly into this category, while solutions that might actually help, escape them. One wonders what he has done in Texas in the way of enforcement against big service businesses and big ag. that hire undocumented immigrants? Think we'll get some facts from the righties here?

And are the right wingers bullies? You betcha:

Quote:
In a YouTube video that was recently taken down, Chris Davis, commander of the Patriot’s border operation, described the tactics that are being used by his group to detain immigrants. “How?” Davis asks, “You see an illegal. You point your gun right at him, right between his eyes and say, ‘Get back across the border or you will be shot.’”

Seems like the facts are on KC's site, and the lies and vitriol stand with mrgybe. But keep it up, you've lost the Hispanic vote for 2014 and 2016.

Gybe
You forgot to say something relevant from on high above us.

OK since your intelligence is not in question, tell us about Perry.
While running for Pesident he fell off the stage drunk. On another occasion he forgot his list of government agencies he would change in the middle of an interview.
He grinned drunkenly, eyes out of focus, and said oops.
He said he had the problem under control lately, so he qualifies to run for Pres. again.

Because of your huge intellect you have many opinions.
Because you know so few facts, those opinions are often laughable.
You forgot to tell us your expert opinion on sending the National Guard, a heavily armed military unit, with over a thousand armed men to meet this Security Threat of confused unarmed twelve year olds trying to turn themselves in?
Are they carrying miltary weapons to target shoot turkeys? Who are those guns going to be aimed at?

Bachman just finished cruising the border with another important GOP leader named Sean Hannity. They strongly support a heavy military response.
Now you have some real info to help you use your huge intellect.
Still dont have one single idea beyond insulting me? How sad.

Stupid people like me take an interest in the sixty kids in our school as our own. Everyone there calls them our kids. This is usual in schools throughout America too. Don't let that fact get in your way either.
Or did you leave your brain in the barnyard again?
That would explain why it is so deeply mired in uh can't remember....
Oops.

Three marriages.......no kids.......yet you slander a woman who has had a direct role in raising 28. Since you are so interested in the facts, please provide a citation for the child shot at the border so we can all judge the facts for ourselves.

There you go displaying your genius to us again by insulting me instead of telling us how you feel about the National Guard and armed militias coming down to point guns at children.

I assume you support that 100% up there at your elevated intelligence level?

Have you had a chance to get a few facts in hand yet?
Always good to have facts. Are you up to date on Bachmans position on using miltary to fight this dangerous menace? Or Perry?
Nothing?

By the way you have invented another fact today when you say I have no kids.
Could this be a sign that your IQ is not as good as you imagine?
Tell us about your family a little. Got any kids? They have any manners?
Did you learn yours growing on the streets in England?

It is always amazing that the religious right can summon up empathy for other right wingers--but not for children who may be fleeing violence.

Ignored by the snarky gybester are several important facts:

Perry has supported and ordered 1000 national guardsmen to the border--but has said nothing to rebuke the nativist militias who have come to the state.

Turning back, at gunpoint, children seeking asylum is inconsistent with a law signed by George Bush. How inconvenient that it cannot be blamed on Obama, so let us just return to talking points and ignore that we are a nation of laws. What does Michele say?

Quote:
WASHINGTON – Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, fresh from a tour of the U.S.-Mexican border, said on Tuesday that the flood of migrants illegally crossing into the United States is a crisis requiring immediate action.

In conversations with border patrol agents, local police officers, charity workers and even a mother and child who had crossed illegally into the United States, Bachmann said, it became clear that the border is too easy to cross, too many migrants are being allowed to stay in the United States and she believes the cost of their care is too high a price for Americans to pay.

But to show the depth of her craziness, we couldn't make up this quote:

Quote:
"Now President Obama is trying to bring all of those foreign nationals, those illegal aliens to the country and he has said that he will put them in the foster care system," Bachmann said. "That's more kids that you can see how - we can't imagine doing this, but if you have a hospital and they are going to get millions of dollars in government grants if they can conduct medical research on somebody, and a Ward of the state can't say 'no,' a little kid can't say 'no' if they're a Ward of the state; so here you could have this institution getting millions of dollars from our government to do medical experimentation and a kid can't even say 'no.' It's sick".

Someone here is sick.

Back to solutions. The party of no has no interest in solutions, and no capacity to develop them after they kicked out all the "Rinos." The worst speaker perhaps of all time is held hostage to the most extreme elements of the Tea Baggers. He will bring nothing to the floor unless it has enough Republican votes to pass without any Democratic votes. Do we need any more evidence that the Tea Party is the worst phenomenon in American governance since McCarthyism?

The facts? Gybster ignores them.

Even if a "child" was shot at the border, one has to ask whether he looked and acted like this, as the Border Patrol reports that hundreds to thousands of them do:

This conversation Gybe wanted to have with me isn't going too well for him.
I am really enjoying it.
He really knows nothing at all about Perry and Bachmans positions.
It was sad moment for him when he read the quote from Perry about his own alcoholism.
He regards me as stupid for actually following their public statements.
C'mon jibe tell us what you think about those armed militias and National Guard at the border
As soon as you get up to date on the issue like the no brains folks have done.
Or tell us about Iso photo that he says is typical of an eight year old Honduras student fleeing gang violence.

keycocker often boasts of the school he started in Belize, but less often boasted about the denigrating lies he has told his students in class about me, by name. They are as insane as the crap he endlessly spews here. If you don't want him libeling you by your real name, mrgybe, I suggest you remain anonymous, as even idiots influence SOME idiots.
