Trying to get my fellow windsurfers off topic and respect each other is proving to be very difficult. I have tried everything. Great quotes, sharks encounter stories, bears stories, television notes, AWESOME scale of the universe facts, music...anything but politics.
Here is my Winter sport. What is yours?
One tough sport. Played only in the Winter. Outdoors! Been doing this all Winter long since 1982. What fun! Never heard of it? Those on the East coast know what I’m talking about! Chicago has about 3000 players in our league. Most in the country. Game is finally growing in numbers. As it should. Up about 1500% in last 7 years. Very few courts West of Kansas City. Every time I try to explain the sport to someone they go, outdoors?... in Winter...? At night? What? So it’s 10 below zero outside. Wind chill is at 40 below. No problem, just make quick work of your opponent! After your match, get in a game of beer paddle. Just make sure you drink your beer before it is frozen solid! And, bottom line...respect your opponent!
Check out an average point here.

Micro managing is always a very frustrating thing to try to endeavor, how about suggesting that everybody go out and rent "The Sound of Music", maybe that will help.
Good luck.
I'm sure we'd all get along quite well if we were out at the same windsurfing spot. |

In 1651 Thomas Hobbes wondered why ghosts always wear clothes?
That's always bothered me too, and I can't sleep at night for puzzling over it - but I've never been able to find one, to ask! |

That looks like a blast. I used to play a ton of volleyball and squash. It seems to combine the two. That would be a blast to play outside in the winter. I used to feel like I was melting when I'd play squash and same with volleyball in some gyms.
My problem is I never learned to run again post hip replacement...unless a dog is attacking my son, then (from experience) I'll take a screen door off it's track and out sprint Ben Johnson. |

Nah, just trying to lighten it up in here. How about that sport! Keeps the body moving all Winter. It's like cage fighting with friends. |

My Fair Lady -- very upbeat. Even Mr. G and the NitWit could take a lesson.

GT, you haven't been visited by the naked female Viking ghost yet like I have? Tsk tsk |

Thomas always wondered that because he never met the right ghost.
