Nice Sat afternoon at rooster for some of us steady 30s and sunny. To earlier sailors thanks for blazing the trail down the snowy steps (saw you on the cam at 10am)

I knew it was going to get better and better! Had to leave by 10 but Larry was still ripping when I left. How was the access to the river? Still icey? It didn't look so on the webcam... Good day yesterday, and today's conditions are still great, too bad I can't go...
PS: having heated bathrooms at Rooster is so nice, I feel almost like I'm cheating, I'm not used to facilities of any kind when I go winter sailing

Looking down the river from Home Valley right at this moment.... looks like the river is on fire with large plumes of smoke. East wind averaging 42 with air temp at 26*f at Stevenson.... hello nuke fest.... are there any takers now?

I didn't see anybody out on the Rooster webcam yesterday. Maybe the 60 mph wind and 30 degree temps were too much for you winter sailors.

Portable hot tubs in the parking lot and jet ski rescue. I'd try it.
On a really windy day at RR I wonder if getting up and down the stairs is the most dangerous part.

Larry sailed a few days ago, over powered on his 2.8, he did just 5 runs. Here's a picture of me trying to get back to shore Nov 11, 2014

I saw a couple kiters and one windsurfer at the Hatchery yesterday in 5.0m conditions. I put money on Jim Oak. I hear there is a lot of large debris in the water, such as logs. Today is sunny with 6.0m west wind.

I was there to check it out and see if I need more gear to ride the winter but Larry and Mike were on their 4.0s and the launch was fairly filled in with ENE wind 45 avg 40-54 around noon. The flooded beach was waist to belly deep with sun and 50 degree wind. I need some thick booties and some gloves. Tomorrow looks good too but maybe not quite as warm
